Roadtrip 2001
"From
Grand Canyon to Yellowstone Park, Hollywood to Graceland"
We
discovered a common love for travel and adventure when Tonette's
friend Robert came to visit from Georgia in April. The three of
us visited New Orleans and had fun at the French Quarter. Later
in May we visited Robert and the three of us went to Atlanta and
had a marvelous time in Six Flags where the two gentlemen gave Tonette
her first taste of a real rollercoaster ride. Then
Brian invited Tonette to go on a road trip with him during the
summer. He thought she should see the rest of the United States
before she left for Thailand. So for four weeks we traveled across
the country, from Mississippi to Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Nevada,
California, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Kansas,
Missouri, Tennessee, etc. We had an annual pass to the national
parks and also explored the Sedona, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Crater
Lake, Yellowstone, and even Graceland. We alternated between cheap
hotels and camping under the stars. We visited relatives and friends
in Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Tacoma, etc. And
Tonette got to meet Brian's family in Chelan, WA where they stayed
for a week.
Upon
their return Tonette's mother Claire and friend from Texas, Terry
came to visit. So we all traveled to Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans
again. |
